Is Hostward really free?
Yes. Up to 50 services you pay nothing – private or commercial, companies included. There is no trial that runs out, and you don’t need to enter any payment details.
What counts as a service?
Every product created in your panel: a VPS, a game server plan, a web space, an email plan or a dedicated server. Deleted services no longer count.
What happens when I reach the limit?
Existing services keep running as usual. You can create new services again once you choose a bigger plan or delete old services.
Do I need my own servers?
Not for the panel – we run that. Your customers’ services, however, run on your own servers or at your data center. You connect them with a single command.
Do I have to care about the panel’s memory or CPU?
No. The performance for your panel is included in every plan and provided by us.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, your panel runs under your address, for example panel.your-company.com. You only set two DNS records (panel and proxy); SSL certificates are issued automatically.
Who installs updates?
We do. New versions are tested first and then rolled out. Your panel is backed up automatically before every update.
How safe is my data?
Your panel runs separately from other instances and is backed up daily. The connection to your servers is encrypted and secured with certificates of your own instance.
How do I cancel?
You don’t have to: there is no contract term and no notice period. If you stop renewing your plan, it simply ends when the period you paid for runs out – the free plan works the same way. You can also delete your instance at any time before the period ends. All data is then removed from our systems permanently.
Can I change my plan later?
Yes, you can switch to a bigger plan at any time. Your data and settings are kept.
Can I run Hostward on my own servers?
Yes. On request we hand over the source code. The panel then runs in your own network and talks to your host systems over internal IPs. For larger installations we recommend this. It comes with a one-time licence fee that we agree individually.
Do you have an offer for communities and non-profits?
Yes. Clans, communities, clubs and other non-commercial projects can request a partnership and then get Hostward free of charge, without limits.
Do you build custom modules?
Gladly. If you are missing a service module or a core service, we develop it – just get in touch.
How do my customers pay?
Through the payment providers you set up: PayPal, Stripe, Mollie or Micropayment. Customers top up credit or pay by invoice if you allow it.
